They are not commonly provided.
Take your water bottles to the school and re-fill them there. |

Does anyone know where I could find one of those water filter things like Brita or Pur...?
I haven't been to Costco or Emart yet because my city doesn't have one but is it worth taking a trip into Seoul to find one?
I really need a water filter pitcher and I don't want one of those dispensers! |

I wouldn't take a trip to Seoul, especially if you live at least an hour away, to get a water filter. Ask one of your co-workers for a favor and have them buy one on Gmarket or Interpark for you. You'll get it in a day or two and save yourself some time |

I think one of the posters said they don't have an Emart in their town. Therefore, buy a filter online, though I'd make sure to boil the water first |

Tap water in Korea is safe to drink & brush your teeth in, but there are minute traces of heavy metals & pesticides in it, that no amount of boiling will remove. Reverse Osmosis only. Or buy bottled water.

I asked my Ko-tex...I mean co-teacher to get me a water purifier/dispenser because the company that rents them out doesn't allow foreigner to rent them. She end up signing for the contract, but I agreed to foot the bill.
I pay 28,000 won per month which isn't that bad. |

| 28,000! how many bottles per month is that or is that hte fee for renting a dispenser? If thats just for the dispenser, thats outrageous. Bottles should be 5,000 for 18.9 liters. There are two of us, and I drink a ton of water, and we still only use 1 a week. |

It's the fee for renting a filtered water dispenser which gives me unlimited supply of filtered water.
The service person visits my home every month to inspect the machine and checks the purity of the water as well. |
