| as i intend to get my visa sorted out here in the states before i go to korea, is there any reason i should need to send my diploma to korea, other than that the hakwon in question asks me to? i've already been through this once, but it's been so long that i've forgotten the ritual. thanks. |

The school needs a certified copy of the diploma to get your contract approved by the Korean government. You don't need to send the original diploma.
Did you find a good job? |

maybe. i've got a couple of offers. one is by a kid's herald school, which i've heard almost all bad news of. the other is 'shin wha english school' in bundang, which i know absolutely nothing of. the bundang school is offering a bit more money, and i guess knowing nothing of a school is marginally better than knowing of a bad reputation of the other school... right? *sigh*
as you know, neither are where i'd really like to be, but kid's herald is near doksan station, which is something like ten subway stops away from my hotspots. bundang is well far away. pros and cons.
but i've got another recruiter telling me that he's got a position for me in shinchon, which would f--kin rock. but i haven't gotten any of the details just yet, nor have i gotten a contract from him about it. so i guess time will tell. wish me luck. |
