you've only spoken to ahjusshis or ahjoomas? what makes you think foreigners would take better care of these animals? most of the foreigners I know took pets in only to sell them back after a year or two because they were going back to their own countries.
don't get me wrong, I know you're trying to do a good thing... and you are but watch what you say please... its kind of offensive to some people.
I took my Lady in last year because a foreign couple decided to lock her in the bathroom and move out. The landlord found her barely alive with no water or food after a few days.
rather than looking for 'foreigners'... how about looking for people in general who would like to give their love and affection for a very long time. |

i think sungmin has a good point....good not to generalize. lots of koreans would probably gladly take in a big dog, but most don't have the room.
good luck finding homes for those pups! they're cuuuuute! |

Yeah...well consider the space ratio here. My gf's family has 2 medium sized dogs, but they also occupy a whole floor of their apartment building, and have several terraces. Do most people have this kind of luxury? I get upset evry time I look out the window at my school and see 2 full grown golden retreivers and a springer spaniel fighting for space on a little balcony at the house across the street. |

Oh my god, I am really sincerely sorry!
I really didn't mean to offend anyone and I know the space is an issue here.
Plus, I worked in Canadian shelters for 4 years and I know foreigners are terrible too. I had very bad experiences with "us" here as well.
The thing is that the only offers we had so far were indeed for dog meat...So I guess I was a little upset, but shouldn't have written that. They were indeed Ajimas and agashis....
Don't get me wrong, we do adopt to Koreans (I have a lot of Korean rescuer friends as well) ! So I guess we just didn't have luck this time.
Please accept my sincere apologies for that offending overgeneralized comment. Be assured that I didn't mean it and to prove I'm sincere, I just edited the whole thing.
Thank you for helping me not overgeneralizing and keeping an objective eye on the whole situation. |
