It was a cold (ok about 15 degrees c) day in Auckland and while I was out for a stroll I spotted a hotteok stand. mmm hotteok

so for the bargin price of $2 I got a huge hotteok, easily twice the size of the ones in korea.

However on tasting my big beautiful hotteok I was repulsed. then I saw the sign.

Due to health concerns we only fry in olive oil.

Bastards!

Olive oil is not good in everything. I tried using olive oil instead of vegetable oil twice in some Matzo ball soup mix my parents sent me. Both times it just didn't taste right.
