I've been ordering off this place for the last, maybe, 2 years now.

Getting ready to leave Korea and I've been doing price comparisons between mass119 and local places back home just to see if there are a few small things I can stock up on and take back.

Man, the prices are hugely different. Never realized just how incredibly cheap mass119 is:

10-30$ differences between whey proteins

20$ differences between amino acids and multivitamins.

All for the same name brands and sizes.

Granted, between some products, like Myoplex 42 packs, there is no difference. On the other hand, there's a 30$ difference for Nitrotech. For the most part the differences are so substantial it makes me wish there was some way I could access the site when I get back.

They just order from America and you get better-than-Canada prices, but American online sites like bodybuilding.com have sales that are better than the MSRP that mass119.com seems to sell. They turn a profit, but how they bypass customs or getaway with 10k won for 3 day UPS on 30-40kg shipments is totally gangster. The fact that they keep changing bank accounts you deposit in is kinda scary, but oh well. That's Korea.

Comparing domestic to domestic, America does tend to be cheaper. Check out sites like dpsnutrition.com and bulknutrition.com.

I use speedns.com. It comes from america unsually in 3 days, 10.000 won shipping, nothing is expired. I just checked some things are much cheaper. My protein at Mass119 is 133.000 won at speedns it is 109.000 won. I think I will stick with my site.

It is totally gangster. Haven't seen too much variation in the bank account deposit info. But how they get that stuff here so fast and for so little is weird.

I always assumed they pre-shipped everything and had everything stocked in some seoul wearhouse. But even that would be expensive.

I've bought 3 5-pound whey containers, one 10 pound boxof MR's and a a couple of containers of glutamine for a total of 30 pounds all for 10,000 won shipping and delivered in 3 days.

Crazy, but the products are all legit so whatever.

From what I see this is another mass119 by Koreans for Koreans. Too bad they don't ship elsewhere.

Didn't mention it, but I'm from Canada so the price comparisons I was doing came off of Sports Nutrition Depot. With all these American sites the customs will be too much.

By the way, whatever happened to Designer Protein by Next Nutrition?

This seems to be a good deal...gonna order it tomorrow. Only thing is...why don't they stock natural flavor? In America it's available but here they don't seems to enjoy the taste of unsugered whey...

Thought you said that taking protein and creatin might as well take steroids instead. Laughing

I used to buy my protein from mass119, but I've been going to Namdaemun lately, it's cheaper, and easier, since I have an awkward address to deliver to these days.

Namdaemun is the reason why I started using mass119. I hated going there. Namdaemun simply doesn't have the selection that some of these sites have. It's hot, pricey, pushy, and dirty.

Besides, wasn't there a thread that said Namdaemun was closed down for good?

How do you buy if you can't join the site because they only accept Korean ID card numbers?

It's still open, or it was last weekend anyway.

You're right about the selection, but I only buy protein powder, and the brand I like is 63,000 there compared to 60,000 + 10,000 from mass119.

A short subway ride and the pushiness, dirtiness and heat don't bother me.
