Is it possible to self-sponsor yourself if you can show you have a school interested? |

No
Unless you are of Korean descent, you have to have an E2 sponsored by a school to get a work visa here. Read the Stickies! |

The only self sponsor visa is the F5. Perhaps F4. Im self sponsored but it took a while to get my freedom back, first from my employer and then my wife:) Dont speak with the old employers, still with my wife, but I own myself:) |

It's still impossible to self sponsor yourself for anything long term, at least in the education industry. (I'm sure there is probably something to do with business investment but I don't know anything about that). Since the OP, mentioned a school, i assumed he was interested in self-sponsoring for a long term contract, as in one year. For that you have to qualify for an F visa (korean descent, married to a Korean, etc.) |

I don't see how that thread provides any basis for self-sponsoring yourself. I do see that a C4 visa could be issued which provides for an alternative way to deal with E2 visa limitations. |

Nope...someone (Korean) has take responsiblity for you and give you a visa. Much like a dog whose owner is responsible for any damage done by the dog...the visa sponser is responsible for you. Thank God they don't make us wear the collars and tags anymore...but the branding makes it hard to sit down and beg.
---I am just being a jerk...but you can't sponser yourself because there is no legal way to do it with an E2 visa. |

F2 visa people are still sponsered by the spouse. I have a F5 visa now and I am sure it is not dependent on the spouse. F4 visa is a self-sponsered visa. |

Those who have F-4 and F-5 visas are self sponsored. |
