I stayed home sick today.
While I was home, I saw a small cockroach scoot across my floor. I had bug killing spray handy, so I sprayed it to death. I detest those things. I rarely ever get them in this apartment, so I didn't think much of it.
Fast forward to about 10 minutes ago. I got up to walk to the kitchen to put away my water glass, when I look down and see something on the top of my foot (peeking out from under the hem of my sweatpants). I panicked at the thought of the cockroach, and started to flick and fling my foot in an attempt to get whatever was on my foot, off of it.
When nothing happened, I looked again, only to realize it was my tattoo. |

Hahaha yeah I wasn't feeling too hot.
I'll blame it on that. I was clearly delusional.

I can remember i did something similar..was in the middle of the night when i was asleep, well 90% asleep..i itched my ear and felt something there...so in polite terms lets say i panicked..
Ripped what ever it was that was there and threw it across the room, about 2 seconds later realized it was just one of my tunnels.. |

I have two. The one on the foot is relatively new (7 months now), so perhaps I'm just not used to it. The other one is on my back, which I don't get to see and forget it's there. |

Nothing worse than *beep's*. Had a *beep* driving a truck nearly run me off the road today. *beeping* *beep*!!!
Glad I don't have any *beep's* in my house. That'd be *beeping* terrible.
I do have to admit though, that I can be a *beep* too if I'm having a bad day..... |

How do you do it...I feel so guilty that I couldn't possibly call in sick unless I was close the death...it's less stressful to go to work than it is to pick up the phone. |

My school doesn't give me any hassle about it at all. It's only the 2nd time I've called in, total (a year and a half in Korea).
I call my co-teacher, tell her I'm not feeling very well and don't think I can make it in. She says okay, I hope you feel better, take a rest today. I go the next day, sign the attendance book, and go on with my job.
If I'm feeling genuinely ill, I think it's better to take a day to nip it in the bud, rather than go to work, and do a crap job. |

I have another bad one, but it's about my mother haha.
A few years back, she had to have her jaw broken and re-wired shut. She couldn't lay down to sleep, so for that time, she slept in our living room in a big reclining chair (not reclined fully). Now our house is a baby-split entry, so at the top of the landing, there is a half wall (this is important for later in the story).
In the middle of the night she heard a sound and woke up. She looked straight ahead at the wall, and saw a shadowed figure of a head, and an arm that looked like it was in a position to attack her. She freaked out, and froze, just staring at this outline for about 10 minutes.
Finally she got the courage to turn around, only to see that my cousin had left her Mr. Potato head figurine on our half wall by the stairs. It's arm was in a raised position. We still make fun of her to this day for it. |

No stories to tell. Had a remarkably intelligent day. This is rare. Maybe I'll do something dumb tomorrow, and if I do, I'm sure everyone will want to know ...
