Not to hijack but EA sports really pisses me off. After numerous run arounds they have finally emailed me and told me that NHL 2008 is NOT being released in Korea. I contacted Play-asia but they also have no listing for it (the NTSC-J version) and when I pointed out to them that the HONG KONG website of EA sports has it listed they said "we still do not have confirmation on this". I am screwed I guess unless I can find a hong kong store that will ship internationally.
Anyway sorry to thread hijack, I am thinking of picking up Madden but not a huge football fan. Perhaps though...... |

| That's weird...I just checked Play-Asia and their website says the Asia version is in stock now, the Japanese version to be released this month. |

| Nope I'm talking about NHL 2008 and it's only listing the NTSC-U (American) version as coming out this month, does not have a listing for the Asian version. I am crossing my fingers that I can find a Hong Kong retailer that ships internationally. |

My bad.
Good luck with that. |

Do you have to pay any sort of import taxes or dues off of games purchased from Play-Asia?
(Not trying to hijack the topic, but in lieu of creating another thread, I thought I'd ask here). |

Don't think so. Just the the listed price plus shipping. It's a bit more expensive than buying games at Yongsan, but the selection at Yongsan sucks, quite frankly.
For example, I got Bioshock in the mail today. Rated a 9.8 on IGN, this game is going to give Halo 3 a run for Game of the Year. Guys at Yongsan hadn't even heard of it, and couldn't tell me when it would be in stock. |

I just got MOH:Airborne in the mail today. Free shipping to Korea.
I've never had a customs charge on a PlayAsia package, including GH2, which probably should have raised some eyebrows. |
