Mullet perms.
Duran Duran.
Break dancing and 'comps' behind the M6 cash and carry
Yellow sergio tacchini tracksuits, thinking we all looked 'cool'
BMX's - Everyone had one, apart from me of course.
Stock Aitken and Waterman, their horrid music was always on the radio
notably Sonia and 'I'll never stop loving you'
One pound notes.
Frank Bruno fighting for the world title and me listening to it in bed at 3am.
Degrassi Junior High
Grange Hill
Wil Cwac Cwac
Scott and Charlene getting married in Neighbours.
Margeret Thatcher.
Live Aid.
Nuclear Bombs and Nucelar shelters - the propoganda behind the soviet nuclear threat was amazing. We didn't have nuclear shelter and had to do with a table and a plastic sheet instead.
AIDS - Don't die for ignorance.
Wigan beating Manly of Sydney 6-0 to win the inaugural world title and us lot who couldn't get in watching it from the bridge in scholes.
Hedgehog flavoured crisps.
Wham bars.

- pogo balls
- luminous clothing.... oh the neon....
- scrunchies
- the teased bang look
- PSYCHE!
- Fraggle Rock
- The Goonies
- Popples

.... I'm sure I'll think of more later.

I loved Degrassi and the moral mssage it would give at the end of every show. Joey Jeremiah was a crap school bully though (an I'm not condoning bullying either!) but all he would do is call fat Arthur 'broomhead' which in my opinion Arthur got off light!

Hyper-color shirts
My Little Ponies
Scrunchy socks

SS got everything else right off the bat!

*Side note: I've been buying my little cousins "retro" Christmas presents the last few years. She didn't realize the Popple actually popped in and out, she just thought it was like a backwards kangaroo.

Hehehe I loved popples. Mine was purple.

I also remember Tiny Toons, and the theme song, and how we changed it:

"We're tiny, we're tooney, we cost a big fat loonie, cause Brian Mulroney invented GST!".

Perhaps that's just for the Canadians...
