I'm feeling a little burnt out on Korean lately and have been pondering my next country. In the process of it all I had an interesting thought. Where do you think the average Korean would want to teach if they had the opportunities we have to teach throughout the world.

That's easy. They would go to the parts of China and Russia that have ethnic Koreans. |

I introduced a Korean friend to a job as a Korean Language Teacher at an International School in Souzou, China. She had previously taught Korean at an International School in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for 5 years. So naturally, she got the job. But did she thank me for hooking her up with the job that she landed? Of course not! She's Korean! Obviously an unappreciative one! I know I will think twice before hooking any Korean up with a job next time! |
