(can this be posted as a sticky note somewhere. I see under FAQ that there is no pet section. Mods, is this possible?)
for all you cat owners in Seoul:
I found a really good cat supplies store. we're talking many varieties of cat food and cat litter, most from overseas, for reasonable-ish prices, as well as a good range of cat toys, cat treats, pet shampoos, eye-drops, eardrops etc. pretty much everything you'll ever need for you cat. I bought a bag of 'nature derived' cat litter, it can flush down the toilet, its environmentally friendly, etc etc.
the website address is http://www.catclub.co.kr/catshop/index.php
Its all in Korean, but its pretty easy to find your way around the site and see all the product catagories. you can even search by brand.
The shop is a 5 min walk from Dangsan Station (green line) . Here is the link for the map:

The store is on the second floor, just past the corner. There is an aquarium shop on the ground floor. |

Another place for cat toys and scratching posts and climbing trees and the like is www.cattree.biz
This one too is in Korean, and the owner doesn't speak much English at all (although he was a trooper and tried his best to answer my Korean questions with his English), but good service... I get next day delivery service, sometimes same day. |

Ooh, they even have kitty milk. Definitely gonna make that trip to Dangsan this weekend that I've been putting off.
Good looking out. |

good posts about where to get supplies but what about getting a Cat that isnt ragged or half dead as Ive heard happens often enough to make me afraid of buying from the normal korean pet stores ive seen.
What if you want a Persian cat, is it possible to buy one from a private breeder...Well im sure it is but my korean is not good enough to find anyone on the web or be capable of carrying on a korean conversation.
Anyway if anyone knows of any cat breeders that can speak enough english to sell a cat and that gets them the proper shots etc. that I could get myself a healthy and properly cared for cat would be much appreciated. |

So I went there yesterday. The guy was very friendly. I bought about 57k worth of stuff and he threw in a few cans of cat food and a couple different kinds of snacks for free.
It seems like there is actually less available in the store than what is shown on the website. I didn't see the kitty milk, for example, but maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough. All in all, it's still great to have it around and I recommend it to anyone with kitteh. |
