This is the funniest thing I've read on here for a while!!!
Its entirely possible this is no hoax..I actually reckon contracts will get worse in Korea in the coming months as competition for jobs increases..
At least the school is being honest about exactly what to expect!!!!!!! |

The entire thing is extremely laughable.. every single last line of it.. but I'll highlight the worse if its possible to pull out the worse..

I love the bit about 9,500 won for a cafeteria meal being "deeply discounted," I can get a decent meal of spicy bone soup for 4,000 in restaurants in my town. That just can't be real, all of the bits about fining teachers for random minor breaches isn't something I've ever heard of. |

[3] That where the Employee has worked the entire contract without absence, the Employee shall be granted a lunch at Carne Station (various locations in Seoul) with all you can eat of food and beverages that are normally offered during lunch to be paid for by the Employer. |
There's motivation for you...

Is there anybody this contract does not offend? Can you count the number
of laws this contract would break?
Are you "camera ready" at all times?
Does this include while one is urinating "during the workday"?
[7] Employees must be "camera ready" at all times during the workday as there will be sporadic photographs and video shot during the year.
[8] Male employees will shave daily. Male employees will take reasonable steps to ensure that their personal odor will not become disruptive.
[9] Female employees will take all reasonable steps to ensure that their personal and menstrual odor does not become disruptive.
Is this a problem?
Have you ever been disrupted by menstrual odor? |

I'd like to send a letter of interest.. complete with questions like..
1) How big are the vehicles I'd have to wash?
2) I learned 'annyonghaseyo' but I promise not to use it in the classroom, would this be a problem?
3) Is it okay if I stay out until 12:15am as I like to look at the moon as the new day comes in - religious practice.
Is there anyway to send an email to them? |

Get Out of here! This as got to be a hoax. Either that or it's from that Kid's Herald near DaeCheong subway. Only the Songs could be the masterminds of such a fiendish plot oops contract. If I read this correctly a guy like me would be owing them money every month. |

Actually, I don't see a reason to post the name of the school as a warning. Anybody asking for the name obviously knows better. D amn that was funny. |
