See? It's because of Saffers like you that each time I meet a Kiwi or an Aussie, the first thing they want to talk about is blimmin' ruggers.

Why couldn't South Africa have chosen a more calm and peaceful sport, a sport that embraces athleticism and Christian morals, like hockey for example?

There's been surprisingly little RWC banter on this board. I thought there would have been more especially the Ockers and Yarpies.

The Kiwis are quietly confident this year. And rightly so, everyone else looks putz and we have enough top players to win the world cup twice.

I wouldn't want to be Italian right now..........

Rugby World Cup.

I've been staying out of the threads so far, but I have to admit I'm pretty excited. I'd be more excited if the matches were on at a reasonable hour. It's gonna be like the footy WC all over again ... little sleep and zombie lifestyle. This month is going to be painful.

As I've already told a local NZ'er, it'll be a France Vs. South Africa Final, but NZ may make it through, but even if they do, they won't beat France.

England to reach the quarter finals.

Ireland to (possibly) reach the semis.

I've nowhere to watch it and don't have tinternet wired up yet so the next few weeks are going to be difficult for me. I'm expecting to lose a couple of pounds in tears.

I hear ya. Everything comes a firm second to the RWC this month. The girl, the house, the work, the health, all a firm distant second.......

In all likelihood Mr Batstove, your girl will be watching it too. Smile
