Is it like real pickles--the wonderful dill pickles you can't get here--or like those *beep* pickles they serve with pizza?

I miss real pickles.

<Daydreams about pickles...>

Actually I was referring to semen

Yes. I am aware of that. I know what you meant by "pickle" and by "pickle juice." Your 12 year old boy humor was not lost.

Also, spunk tends to taste good or bad, depending on what you eat.

That got me thinking about pickles. The food. Not your body part.

OH MY GOD

Dude, I consider myself to be a jaded individual, and only very rarely do I say that something I read disturbs me. But that story, that story disturbs me greatly. Maybe its because I've got a similar situation at my job, with the level 10 hottie. Maybe because after what I've found out about Korea I have this irrational fear that every Korean superhottie is now or has been a prostitute in the past. But man, that story struck me to the core. I am shaken.

I'm shaken like the one and only time I entered one of those host bars. It was supposedly a high class plane in Youido, and i went there with some Korean businessmen I knew. There was some sort of Filipino singer behind the bar, and she kept smiling and bowing in a warding off gesture to keep the adjosshis away. That was just kinda weird tho, not disturbing. The disturbing thing was the next table, which had 10 old Korean farts drinking heavily and one young college-age Korean girl drinking with them and giggling with them. She could easily have been the daughter of any one of those guys. They laughed, they flirted, one of them took her out of her seat and danced with her a bit. I stared in gut-wrenching shock. You know why it bothered me so very much? The chick looked almost exactly like my ex who I just broke up with.

Ever since then I have wondered how many girls that I know have done that, and if my ex has done that. Don't give me any PC bull$hit about how it would be their choice and they could do it if they wanted to. If one of my ex, current, or future girlfriends ever got into that kind of situation and I knew I'm pretty sure I'd vomit repeatedly and lose the will to live.

I don't know why I feel so wrong about it, but I do and there's no stopping it.

Well, how well do you know your ex? There must be some choice involved in this... and if the girl is sitting there, giggling with those guys, and at least looks partially in game with what they want--then I think its safe to assume that it was her doing. Maybe she's from a poor family and desires money, maybe she's just a *beep*. Who knows.

In any case, I don't think all Korean girls get sucked into that. How would they? The same thing happens back home. Maybe not girls sucking up to 50+ suits looking for cash, but maybe girls that say-they-love-you-and-still-play-the-feild-in-secret. Same goes for men, as we all know what men can be like.

Its a different culture, but I think the porportions are close to the same. I don't think you should start worrying about whether or not your ex was like that because you saw a bad apple. Some people cheat, some people are like that, others aren't.

Well, thinking about cheating is also distasteful, but it doesn't make me feel the same way. Its not the potential of cheating...

Was it the age difference? Maybe that's it. Or maybe it was the extreme power disparity. Or the extreme innocence disparity. Or maybe I'm just a racist ba$tard and think that if a girl touches an old sidewalk-spitting soju-pickled 5'9" bald adjosshi she has become unclean.

BUT

uh... to get back on topic.

I fantasize about all the options in the poll. Variety is the spice of life!

Ahh the joys of facebok haha. He was since deleted.

And this was 3 years after we broke up.........

I mean I know I'm good and all, but geez! 3 years later?!?!!?

Eight years later an ex admits he still enjoys thinking about it. I don't mind. Why is it a big deal?

Reminds me of a place I worked. I can't be positive, but the office was rearranged about a week or two after I started. Thinking back, I am suspicious it might have been because the Korean girl, quite attractive, and I were having friendly chats. We were sitting next to each other, then the change separated Koreans and foreigners (seating arrangement) quite effectively. Seems like one could lose a job for being too friendly in good ol' redneck, racist Korea.

I wouldn't want to know (unless of course it was reciprocal). Otherwise I'd blush a deep scarlet whenever they were in the same room. Also, would you like to know that some really gross guy was undressing you in his head and doing god knows what to you!? Good Lord! Shocked

Uggh... well if you put it like that! Shocked

Exactly. So while you might be intrigued to find you've been fantasised about by these guys:

You might not enjoy the thought of being mentally undressed and shagged senseless by this lot:

How's this for a weird confession: When I'm single, like now, my fantasies tend to be pretty monogamous (like the same guy for a couple weeks/months, then switch), but whenever I've been in a relationship, they start getting... interesting...

That's interesting. I've always been very faithful in my fantasies. It's always the same guy for a certain period, whether that period lasts for weeks, months or years. There's never any going back and forth. It used to be celebrities until my mid-teens, and since then it's only ever been men I know. And I could count them (the real life men I've fantasised about) on my fingers and possibly have some fingers left. Maybe I'm just very boring.

It's a fantasy for a reason. We can fantasize about things we'd never do in real life. A lot of my fantasies are about random people I see out and about but don't really know. There's a really hot guy who must live near me because I see him around at my local stores and at the soccer field near my apartment. He doesn't speak any English, I tried striking up a conversation with him once. But I like to imagine us getting down in such a way that language is not even necessary.

I fantasise about all sorts of stuff I'd never do in real life, or might do, given the right man. But I seem to stick with certain men when it comes to those fantasies. I haven't usually fantasised about a current partner, either.

I disagree.

The sex industry is much larger and much more in your face over here in Korea.

By some estimates it makes up 4% of the countries GDP. Plus I can take you to virtually any subway or bus station in Seoul and show you a plce where you can purchase sex.

Boring... or picky. Sometimes I think I am too picky, but I don't know how I could force attraction for someone who didn't instantly make the cut.

yah, some people say 1 out of 10 women in Korea have been involved in the sex trade at some point.

Some say 1 out of 6.

guess how many korean women I've dated since I've been here? (hint: its enough to make me seriously question at least one of them)
