The money quotes:
"Kim Man-bok admitted to a parliamentary committee that there were undisclosed terms involved in the deal with the Afghan rebels.
He said the truth would be made public at some point."
"...when asked whether a ransom had been paid, Mr Kim replied: "I can't confirm that. Various things happened and they will be revealed as time passed"
Sigh... |

I think it's the most intelligent thing I've seen said on the topic thus far. |

Not tuned in to the impact of politics in the world, hmmm? After The Fact is the time of biggest discussion about any event like this. It's a game called 'What's Your Second Guess?' And nobody came out and said right away that a deal was done, so of course everyone knows: A Deal Was Done.

Well, now look, it wasn't terrorism at the time...it was just a friendly gesture to get the right boys into power. The US government was innocent of knowing what they would turn into after gaining it, weren't they...we...wasn't it? Funding terrorism? I think I'm justified in calling it some form of , um, 'People's Altruism'. |
