I hope not. My writing is usually only legible by me. Have to keep reminding myself to write clearly on the board.
It's getting better though. |

| Having horrible handwriting makes you a person with horrible handwriting. And which of your students read cursive, anyway? NO ONE at my school can read cursive...my first day of teaching the director, who lived 4 years in the US as a professor at a university, asked me what language I was writing on the board... |

| I have horrible handwriting with cursive, but haven't wrote in cursive for many years due to using computers other than for my signature. I noticed that my cursive handwriting signature and writing style changes regularly over the years. |

I can't even read my own without squinting, but my students seem to get the hang of it. |

I have the handwriting of a 5 year old girl, which would be fine if I were a 5 year old girl, but unfortunately, I'm a 37 year old man.
However, I'm left handed so I'm kind of excused. |

Like that other thing boys do with their hands, it's all about having good technique, hand over wrist ratio type of stuff.
Being a leftie I tend to write with most of my hand arched over the paper I'm writing on so as not to smudge what I've already written, which isn't really conducive with a smooth flowing style.
However, my chalk technique seems ok.
I'm not prepared to discuss that other thing on daves thankyou very much, suffice to say that if I had been writing, I'd be on volume number 9 by now. |

Yeah, the left handed thing gets you a free pass for shitty handwriting: I haven't had one kid say anything about it, but having the chalk to the left certainly gets some remarks. Then after they know that, they ask what blood type you are... |

Someone was said that handwriting is relflection of the person writing. So, I stabbed him in the eye with my pencil.
Handwriting is one thing that you'll learn at Catholic school. My Polish grandmother, who finished school in 9th grade, had the most beautiful penmenship. Nuns used to slap her fingers with a ruler when she used sloppy handwriting. |

As an elementary school teacher in the US, I had to go to D'Nealian handwriting classes when this style of writing was adopted by the school system. EVERYTHING had to be done in this handwriting.
Now, even my sloppy printing is sloppy D'Nealian!
