...reminds me of the 6 party talks that wasted 3 months discussing table shape and the heights of chairs.
Roh is on the way out. He can afford to rattle Bush .
But I pity the next Korean President. The amount of USA control over things Korean is growing. The effort spent on bringing the DPRK into the fold is not about peace. It's about exploiting another cheap labor source and neutralizing the Chinese military position.

Well, yeah. Just South Korea wanted to do that first. That's why the rift developed. |

Provide evidence that the USA is, other than "neutralizing" the Chinese military position" (I think they word you are looking for is "containment") after NORK "cheap" labour.

Provide evidence that the "rift" was due to the ROK wanting to exploit DPRK labour and the USA wanting it for itself.
I'm not one to look at twiggies (and now bondrock's) opinions with any level of seriousness, but this one is quite amazing. Are both of you actually going out of your way to find the least informed, sophisticated and reasoned opinion possible to hold as your own?
Or, do you think that the 23million people in North Korea are the last remaining pocket of cheap labour? |
