When do winter camps generally begin?
I would like to pay my own airfare to Seoul and work a winter camp while looking for public school employment in or around Seoul. Sound doable or am I way off-base? Would I have to make Japan run twice? First to get new tourist visa while job hunting and second for E2 visa run. I am a U.S. citizen.

I think most winter camps start right after Christmas, or around New Year's. I think some might start in the second week of January.

Technically, you'll need a C-4 visa to work at one of these camps legally, something that should be arranged before you get here. You'll have to do a visa run to Japan once you find a job here, but your C4 should last long enough for you to stay and find that PS job.

Just to point out as well, most PS jobs will start in March because that's when their new year starts. I'd like to ask people if there is a chance at getting a public school job in February, something I would prefer doing. It seems like it's a long shot.
