...mend a good resource for a basic toning fitness plan.

I was hoping some people here might have already waded through all of the crappy websites and books, and stumbled on a really good basic toning fitness plan. Maybe a 3 day a week plan that actually works. I've got some resources myself, but was interested in what others are using and have actually had successful results.

Cheers (and if anyone brings up the words 'search function' in an accusing way, may bad karma follow you wherever you go.)

I'm also interested in a basic formula that can be used to turn my Ford into a Ferrari.

Do you want weights? Aerobics? Martial arts? What do you mean by "toning" anyway?

According to the people I got my fitness plan from "toning" is a stupid word that should be stricken from the language. What exactly are you hoping to get out of it?

Some weight, not too much cardio, and just overall better condition. I've got a stubborn 3-4 kg that won't go away. Don't feel like martial arts really, blew out my achilles' tendon a few years ago doing gumdo. Just looking to get rid of the 3-4 kg and ton-- uh, I mean show a some more muscle definition (Can I say 'definition' when talking about muscles?).

Any ideas for a light cardio with some weights?
