I'd like to live there for a while. At least spend a few months there.
Of course I've been to Osaka numerous times on visa runs, but never more than 48 hours.
Nice, but I always feel rushed. Seek out cheap Jagermeister, trinkets for gifts, sex toys, then back to K-land.
The most fun trip was with my son. We met up with a group of Korean university boys at Osaka Castle.
There were performers in the mall area. Magician, juggler, etc.
Later, we rode that nasty ferris wheel type thing. Grabbed good grub. Peed off the 6th floor hotel balcony.
Good times. Can't wait to take an extended tour.
EDIT: I said 'tour,' to mean tour of duty, not like a tourist. |

All normalcyispasse's answers were correct except for no. 4. My Korean is pretty much non-existent, but am I right in thinking the phrase you want translated is, "I'd like another one, please"? If so, the Japanese you want is もう一つください。 I don't have Hangeul capability on this PC, so please excuse my romanisation: Mou hitotsu kudasai.
That is a generic phrase that can be uesd for pretty much anything. If, however, you are talking about food and drinks, and you want to ask for another serving of something, there is a more specialised phrase: おかわりください (okawari kudasai), although the phrase above will also suffice.
I'd vote in the poll, but there's no option for "been here all my adult life". |

Yes, "하나 더 주실래요?" is rather like "can I have one more, please?" as opposed to "하나 더 주세요" which is "one more, please" of course. I was going to ask Normalcyispasse about that, but since 쿠다사이 seems to suffice......(my countrymen are more polite to servers than other nationalities, I've observed, and it's my instinct to seek a more polite alternative to the standard 'please')
Anyway, Harsh Bloke, I'd be interested to hear more detail about your living in Japan all your adult life (18+?).....
I sought work in Japan prior to Korea. I turned NOVA down. I must admit though, I feel no urge to visit, although will feel silly if I return to my country having lived in Korea for 3 years and never visited Japan. |

Yes, I would like to go back and live in Japan for another year or so, but not my final destination.
Ultimately, I'm gonna end up back in Orange County - home sweet home's the best place to be. |

Ah, yeah; I had a funny language gap there. I read the Korean as "May I have another one please," and then translated "another" not as "one more" as perhaps I should have. Ha.  Thanks for pointing it out, though. I would love to live in Japan; my Japanese is much better than my Korean, but Japan's just so damn expensive. |

I'm also curious as to where else...Fukuoka or Kyoto seem popular. Any others? Curious where you are, LMG, as well...although I have a feeling its just small enough you wouldn't want to disclose it on a public forum.

i would probably go if i hadn't made so much investment in Korea in terms of learning the language and stuff like that.
by the time thats done i think it will be time for a proper job, cant be an esl monkey forever..... |

That's the problem.
Whenever I think of going to Japan, I also think I'd rather be setting off on a drastically different experience than just doing the same thing and nearly having the same experience on the other side of the Sea of Japan. |

| I think I'm in the "undecided" column. I visited Nagoya back in ''06 and I really liked it but I think I'm a bit reluctant to deal with being the odd woman out long term again and having to learn another language and culture. But never say never, probably a good break from Korea would reinvigorate my adventurous side... |
