I was told by a recruiter today that its possible to work at a hakwon on a working holiday visa? Is this true? |

No, it is NOT true and if you are caught you are in more hot water than you would prefer.
Hakwon teachers MUST have (to be legal) an E2 visa (which has the degree requirement).
H1 working holiday visas do NOT have the degree check and cannot legally be used to work in a hakwon or as any other kind of teacher. |

Actually, it is true. The requirements for such work changed last year. In order to teach English on a WHV, not only do you have to meet the requirements for the WHV itself (age and whatnot), you must ALSO meet the requirements of the E2, including degrees and sealed transcripts. If you don't qualify for the E2, then teaching is illegal on a WHV. |
