So the time for me to leave Korea is getting near, and I've decided to possibly sell my gaming rig. I will be selling it all as a unit, no offers on single parts please. Here's the nitty gritty:
Antec P180 Case
Antec TruePower 2.0 550W Power Supply
E6600 (2x2.4ghz) Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
ASUS P5N32-SLI Premium/WiFi Motherboard
2GB G.Skill PC3200/DDR2 RAM
Nvidia 7600GT (x2 SLI)Video Card(s)
Western Digital Raptor, 150GB Hard Drive (10k RPM)
LG GSA-H22 DVD/CD Burner (LightScribe capable)
Additional Things:
BenQ T905 19" Flatscreen LCD Monitor
Logitec Keyboard (Korean Layout)
Razer Krait Mouse
Desktop Speakers
Included software:
Windows XP SP2 (English version)
Ubuntu Studio
Microsoft Office 2007 Suite
Adobe Encore DVD 2.0
Adobe Photoshop CS2
Adobe Audition
AnyDVD
BulletProof FTP Server
CuteFTP Professional 8.0
dbPowerAMP
Diskeeper
Nero 7 Ultra Edition
Registry First Aid
SiSoft Sandra
Tag & Rename
Tweak XP Pro 4.0
Windows Washer
Brand new, I spend about $2200 on all the parts. I was unsure of some Korean brands, so I was forced to get the much more expensive imported parts I already trusted. It's only eight months old, and everything is in great condition. I've got a rather awesome fan I got for overclocking the PCU, but never got around to installing that I'll include. I've even got a fancy little cart I bought to haul it all home I'll throw in. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
All reasonable offers considered. ([email protected]) |

Hard to believe you spent that much only 8 months ago. I'd say it's worth 700,000 or 800,000 w/ the monitor. Myself I would want a larger monitor 23in 28in, and a quad core. Don't get me wrong, it's a real nice rig and you could get more from the right buyer but, it's difficult to get really decent returns on an investment of a com. |

HAHAHHAHAHA. I love thatphrase!!!!! "Get spliffed" hahahhahahhahha. Dude, i can't stop laughing!!!! hahahhahahahhaha.
Hey Spliff, that is soooo true dude! HAHAHHAHAHAHHA.
I agree though, $2200 just a few months ago is a bit much for what you have. Especially since your video card isn't top of the line. If you would have listed something like an 8800GTX, then I would have believed it....a little. |

Nice rig except the graphics. Best chance of getting a good offer is if all the s/w is genuine legit. And yes, computers never return what you paid for them. I keep mine until they're obsolete and then let them go for whatever will move them. |

I can understand the other comments, as they stated a bit of justification to back themselves up, but come on now. Be a little fair.
I didn't actually ask for any amount. And who are you to tell me how much I paid for it? Quad cores had just been released when I bought it, and the price cuts hadn't happened yet. Memory prices were peaking at that time, as they usually wax and wane throughout the year. 8800's had just been released, and I wasn't about to spend four hundred dollars on a single card. Maybe I did get ripped off. Maybe I was a fool to buy when I did instead of waiting. Regardless, I'm merely stating fact.
I'm not sure which is more interesting, the direct responses I've gotten to this thread--or the emails I get full of feigned disinterest thanks to the negative misinformation. Call me a fool, but please don't call me a liar.

Yea. My previous computer I had for about five years before I finally gave it away. If nothing pans out, I think I might just box up the disassembled parts, tape the boxes all together into a single unit, and try to carry it onto the flight home. That'll make the security checkpoints interesting, heh. |

Considering the fact that I just had a Q6600 (quad core) game system built for a hair under a mil (4 gigs ram, 2 terabytes HDD, etc) it would be in your best interest to stick it in a box and pack it home. (You'll never get your value back for it here).
If you have the original box that the case came in (with the styro inserts) it will ship just fine without problem as checked luggage. Assembled systems get shipped around the world every day packed just that way.
If you don't have the box, your local computer shop should be able to fix you up with one.

If you don't mind my asking: where? I'm looking to replace my old computer. |

J-tech, Son-in Plaza, across the rail yard from Yongsan station.
Look for the building with the large Gigabyte sign on it. |

ttompatz - could you post more detailed specs of what you got? I'm curious what specs a mil can buy nowadays, ie. video card, monitor, etc.
Thanks. |
