I'm planning on spending a few nights in Seoul and am seeking hotel recs. I would prefer to stay at The W but don't feel like shelling out $300 a night. Are there any stylish and clean love/unlove hotels under a hundred bucks a night?

When my parents were here, we stayed at Vabien2. Huge, HUGE room with 2 king sized beds, next to Seodaemun station (I think), nice employees who speak perfect English. We got it for $80 a night. I have no idea how, because a Korean friend booked it for me, but DAMN it was sweet.

Something that doesn't look like an American chain hotel.

I was wondering the same. I want at least some style if I'm paying 100,000 won a night. The floral bedspreads and 1970's decor just doesn't quite cut it.
