				| Today, korean immigration told me that after I finish my teaching contract I can stay in Korea for 30 days, no cost and without any paperwork. So, my visa expires Oct. 25th, so according to immigration I can stay until Nov 25th. And then they told me, if I wanted to stay for another 30 days, I would have to pay a 100,000 fine upon departure at the airport; that's it, no paperwork or other problems(future). So, that means I can stay two months after my visa expires all for 100,000 . That's cheaper than going to Japan. Is this true? I'm from the US. Two officers told me this, both at the Omokyo office. | |

				| Do you plan on coming back? They may not let you back in the country if you have left on an expired visa. I would double-check because immigation has a way of changing the rules. | |

				| Its probably different by nationality. I always assumed you had to leave the country by the expiration date of your E2. Better to be safe than sorry, these guys will possibly shift the goal posts and you could end up getting banned. Left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing when it comes to Korean immigration.... | |

				| If I were you, I'd cover myself and go to immigration with your plane ticket out of Korea and get them to stamp an extension in your passport and make a note on your ARC. CYA (cover your a**) | |
