Jackson over Henderson by decision. Pretty clear cut win for Jackson. After the first round I thought Henderson was going to run away with it. Commentators suggested that Henderson should drop a weight class.

Bisping over Hamill by split decision. I was shocked at the decision. So are most mma fans. Hamill clearly dominated that fight. It was definitely a home town decision. I just hate for the UFC to end up corrupt like boxing judges.

Cheick Kongo over Cro Cop by decision. Big upset. Cro Cop was supposed to come in the UFC and dominate. Can't believe he is 1-2.

By the way, no mention of Fedor signing with the UFC. Crying or Very sad

Perhaps they award style points in England. Bisping didn't do much, but he did it with style.

Hamill got robbed.

Cro Cop is done. I believe that was the final fight in his contract and I see no reason why Dana White would resign him since most UFC fans didn't know who he was in the first place.

I hope K1 picks up Hunt, Arona, Aoki, Hansen, Barnett and all the other Pride leftovers.

I wonder if Henderson will go back down to 185.

Anyone who downloads TVU Player can watch the matches with the English-speaking commentators (Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan) on their MMA-TV channel (best to open the URL in Windows Media Player...)

All the matches were entertaining, I thought (I'm just watching the start of the "Rampage"-Henderson match now - then they'll replay from the beginning...)

Yeah, it's a shame that UFC is no more immune to "hometown decisions" than boxing is. Hamil won all three rounds - which is the way the one honest official scored it...

The British crowd booed Hamil's entrance to the tune of "Born in the USA", but they appreciated his dominating performance and graciousness and cheered him loudly after he lost the crooked decision...

I was hoping to see Bisping win, but was cheering for Hamil by the end of the third round. That was a deplorable decision. Bisping was not using his legs to create space and keep the fight on the outside. He was using his legs to run away from Hamil once he got a taste of the guy's power. I don't think he hurt Hamil at all. And how about the "oh sh*t" look on Bisping's face at the final bell? He knew he'd lost, but showed no humility towards Hamil whatsoever. That decision was so disappointing it took some shine off the main event, I thought.

Bisbing should have ran out of the cage with his head down instead of gloating and telling Hamil to 'Go back to wrestling'. I think Hamil will end up with more fans than Bisbing after that fight.

For those who haven't heard, Matt Hamil was born deaf, so at least he couldn't hear the boos and Bisbing's comments ...

I wasn't aware of it myself while watching the match, though I did notice that one of his helpers was using sign language between rounds...

Quinton Jackson Wins by Unanimous Decision at 5:00 in the 5th round
I really want to hate Rampage Jackson, but I cant. He won clearly.

Michael Bisping Wins by Split Decision at 5:00 in the 3rd round .
Bisping won and it was not a hometown decision.

Cheick Kongo Wins by Unanimous Decision at 5:00 in the 3rd round .
Cro-cop is not done he has lost before and he will lose again. Congo is just a big guy and made him look bad.

Marcus Davis Wins by Submission at 4:14 in the 1st round by arm bar.
Good scrap.

Houston Alexander Wins by Technical Knock Out at 1:01 in the 1st round .
This guy is on roids unless that chest and arms are implants.

Damn, this thread has got me all worked up again. I've just spent the last 30 minutes reading comments (I guess about 300 or so - and that's just a fraction of how many there are) on other sites about the decision, and I only came across one that agreed with the judges. I guess there's nothing left to say. Somehow it's oddly consoling to me that Bisping's wikipedia page has been locked due to vandalism. It's the internet's touchstone for whether or not someone has carried on like a wanker. I guess the operators haven't seen the fight or else they'd open it up and let the vandals have at it. Why on earth did Bisping feel the need to gloat at the end??!!

hamill didn't dominate bisping, but he clearly beat him. he put the pressure on him throughout the fight and had so many take downs, which used to count for something, unless the one getting taken down is fighting in his hometown... even more despicable was the fact that bisping had the audacity to boast about it in the post interview. really can't wait to see him get his a** knocked out now...

he signed a six fight deal. three more to go. gonzaga definitely took something out of him though. i think he came back way too early after such a horrific knockout.

in other news... fedor is close to signing with the ufc. supposed to go down in a matter of days. might be announced at the september 22 event.

I just watch it live on Spike.

As for the Hamill VS Bisping the scoring had to go 29-28 or 30-27. The first 2 rounds were clearly won by Hamill. He landed more punches and to greater effect. He took down Bisping at will (although he did keep letting him stand again so he could punch him more). So that's 2 rounds for Hamill which gives him 20-18 at that point. The only thing Bisping can do now is knockout/submit Hamill or destroy him in the third round and get a draw. The third round was dominated by Bisping for the first half and then dominated by Hamill in the second half. So depending upon who give that round to it's either 29-28 (how I would have scored it) or 30-27.

Bisping is a little punk. His classlessness continued in the post fight press conference

After seeing that fight it's obvious that the limey scunt would get torn apart by ANY top tiered LHW but White will continue to throw ham and eggers at him to reap the financial benefits of these huge UK venues.

I just finished watching the main event. Rampage pretty clearly won the bout there, to no big surprise. I was REALLY disappointed that Cro Cop had such a poor showing, but after those *repeated* knees to the groin from Kongo I'm not terribly surprised.

But Bisping v. Hamill. . . what the HELL? I was absolutely positive the fight would go to Hamill. The first round was overwhelmingly his, and he dominated the second even though Bisping was a little squirrelly. The third round was close, and I'd probably score it for Bisping, perhaps in part because he had a lot of style and was clearly less exhausted than Hamill (though this shouldn't necessarily be qualified in score).

All said, Hamill won that fight fairly. I'm shocked that the judges would go for Bisping; I can't imagine it being anything other than a homefield bias.
