Bit of advice to my fellow expats... Please lighten up and get loose a little. I see so many foreigners that look like the biggest god damn geeks I have ever seen. I mean straight asss mofos who have absolutely no diick. Like they do everything perfectly with their nicely ironed collar and tight car-key pants.

Alot of Koreans are very assuming people. If you eat an ice cream you are seen as an ice cream lover. If you smile for no reason you are smiling crazy person. If you are angry you are an angry foreigner... not just a bit pissed off for some particular reason on that day..

What I am trying to say is. It has taken me 10 months of living here to finally realise this. First I went through the act straight faze. I was always polite, never said the wrong thing, always stayed calm, etc etc etc. The fact is its just not worth it, people are still going to spit at your feet.

Now I do what I want. Sure I still retain a decent level of respectability when I want to for a nice girl etc but otherwise uck it. You are here helping these people and enjoy your life. Go a little crazy. Thankyou.

Seoulman1, are you drunk?

I don't see any point to your thread here except to complain about other foreigners. Why do you care what other foreigners are doing?

That's what I read into it as well.

Sounds like he hangs out with a lot of foreigners who complain about things, and probably is one, but finally decided he's tired of being one, and making an online suggestion assuming everyone else is like him and his friends.

Yeah, it is rather pointless, but still there's no need for everyone to rip into the guy merely for expressing his opinion.

I think he's saying that trying to please koreans by always portraying a good image is a mostly thankless task..and to not care too much what they think. Wink
