No, it's quite relevant. Because if...
A. Anti-foreign teacher stories are regarded as anti-government stories, and...
B. The Chinese media has a policy of not running anti-government stories, then |
Unfortunately, your syllogism isn't grounded in reality. A is not the scenario, therefore B is immaterial. |

but smoking weed and doing drugs is disgusting, and if you get busted you gotta pay the price. |
What's so disgusting about it? Lots of decent people toke up. Illegal, yes; disgusting, I think that's stretching it. Lots of decent people smoke cigarettes, and drink a lot too. I guess that's equally disgusting, just legal and more common? Don't be a prude. Lots of people do stuff worse than smoke a joint. Some countries just make a big deal out of it. |

So, if Chinese people were to get irate about immigration problems, they wouldn't dare think about blaming the government for those problems? Despite the fact that(according to you) they generally hold the government in contempt to begin with?
Okay, I guess I'll just take your word on that. |

The Chinese commonly do not worry about immigration problems, because they are not too threatened by the influx of other peoples or racial miscegenation. They are all too used to it and all too confident that anyone who comes to China will become Chinese should they stay long enough.
In your (unlikely) scenario, the Chinese would probably be blaming the government for corruption, as they always do for almost any given issue the government addresses. |
