Where have I been! I must have been blind and/or drunk when I checked NIN's concert listings. Christ, thank you so much for letting the likes of me know. Very Happy

Unfortunately I'll have to wait till tomorrow to have a Korean co-worker help me buy tix. Why are concerts so expensive here?!

haha....Glad I could inadvertently help. There are some older threads with the info. You can buy tickets through http://tinyurl.com/yuymvp

Why are they so damn expensive? I suppose we might be paying for the cost of moving all the equipment and what not by plane. Gas aint cheap Crying or Very sad

Still no word on the opener tho. They'd had some strange ones so far on this tour like the Dandy Warhols and Ladytron. For the other Asian/Australian concerts it looks like local bands. I figured the Broke boards would know something about that but they seem so blaise about NIN. I understand they're not punk/hardcore but they still make some decent music and the Year Zero alternate reality game is one of the most refreshing marketing/music tie-ins in quite a while (another being Beck's The Information cover, and I don't even like that album) even if it was bite-sized, bubble wrapped revolution.

I'm guessing that you haven't been to any of the concerts by other famous/semi-famous foreign bands. NOFX, which has the minimalist of stage set-ups, was 30,000 or so and the Q-ueers, I'd imagine, will be at least 20,000. That's with local expats putting up their money to pay for the band to come in the first place. Unlikely that they'll make their money back. So it goes if you want to see foreign bands here. But hey, there's also some good Korean music coming out here and it's cheap!

I'm looking forward to the gig immensely. I stopped caring about NIN around 10 years ago, but was quite shocked to really like Year Zero. Still, hopefully there will be lots of classics, if they/he plays Happiness In Slavery I will be happy. I just wish it was a weekend, the inevitable hangover is going to hurt.
Still no word on support bands.....doubt I'll make the mad cross-city dash from work in time anyway.

Can you tell me when the show starts? That would be essential info and I can't find it online.

Thanks.

So, I finally figured out the logistics....

I have to basically leave school after my last class, get on a bus for 3 hours (because KTX is basically useless for me), then hop on the subway for another hour...And then hop on the 5:30 bus back to Jeonju....FUN...

This concert better be awesome.... Laughing

I'm going to the show and had a great idea: Since the Seoul police and Korean media think the majority of foreigners do drugs, let's see how many of them are lighting up at the show since concerts are notorious for drugs.

My guess: None. Report that, you KBS bastards.

Was Nofx only 30 000? MxPx came recently and their tickets were 65 000. You can guess I wasn't at that one. Also, both those shows were put on by Koreans, with help from foreigners.

The Slackers was only 20 000. I feel like a chump for not charging more now.
