Anyone have a link to Britney's performance? It's all people are talking about, so I'd like to see it. Youtube has nothing apparently.

This was on the first page

can't guarantee anything is still there...gotta go teach!

I just googled it... and I think the 3rd or 4th option worked.

Damn. That was unfortunate.

I never thought Britney was a great singer, but I will give her that she used to be a good performer. She put on shows.

This was just.... wow.... poor girl.

I was watching Britney's performance after I heard Howard Stern talking about it. It really was painful to watch. I'm not into that style of performance at all, but I can tell that what she offered was horrendous. All she did was strut around on stage--not a single dance move, that I saw.

Howard also played a clip from Sarah Silverman's routine. I thought it was pretty funny. Watered down, safe-for-TV standup comedy is always a bit lame, so she did well enough.

I though Silverman was at least candid. Yeah, jokes about the kids were....not jokes about the kids. Did anyone even watch the clip? She was making fun of something else...Britneys groin and her and Federline's poor judgment.

Silverman gets my respect because she says what many think about people like Britney, Paris...all of those fools.

Gotta admit...watching Britney fall apart was a pretty hard comedy routine to follow.

silverman's not that funny

I think she only made it this far because she's a jew in an industry run by jews
plus she makes fun of non-jewish minorities so that's a plus in that industry

Silverman goes after the biggest targets. Its like saying someone is a great marksman because he managed to hit the side of a train from 5 feet away. Theres NOTHING clever about her schtick, she is lamer than the celebs she makes fun of because atleast they do something productive. And yes, I think Britney has a more positive input into society than that donkey faced Silverman. You see, think of Britney what you will, atleast she will leave behind her music, and even if it is bad music, it is still something built on a positive foundation. What will Silverman leave behind? Some crappy jokes meant to inflict pain on someone? Silverman is the worst kind of "comedian". Even asses like Maher atleast have some insight in their comedy.

Brittany looks great for a girl who has been depressed and had two kids!

I think Christina has proved that she is the better one!!

They went in opposite directions. One is married and not showing her vag to every guy or gal with a camera and the other...well....you get the idea. Plus Christina can actually sing....

Who the hell is Sarah Silverman?

Just about the funniest woman alive I reckon - hilarious. I usually don't find female comics funny, Margaret Cho being likely the unfuniest woman in the planet, but Sarah is fantastic. Check out Jesus is Magic. I have no ide why she would do something as naff as the MTV awards.

A simple cultural matter of taste, no? I'm not wrong, I just like different stuff to you. Try not to cry. it's only TV.

Tell me you are joking. Spears is a waste of potential and left nothing of worth behind so far. Silverman is right on in her commentary and it needs to be said with a microphone. Hilton is the same...both of their lives amount to less than nothing. They are in the minus; they have sucked more out than they could ever hope to replace. They are bystanders; rich enough to watch life happen around them, stupid enough to think that can be called a life and privileged enough never to be held truly accountable, save a few pointy sticks poked their way now and then.

Spears never had any music; she was a manufactured person from start to finish...and it is indeed finished now. I seriously doubt, and won't expend the effort to find out, if she even wrote a word of her lyrics, let alone her music. She is a lump of inert mass, used and spit out by the industry and now dumb enough to think she has something to offer without it. Her 'performance' was absolutely pathetic. She can't even lip-sync.

Watching Spears squirm around all alone is extremely satisfying. Seeing her self-conscious face realizing what a buffoon she looks like is worth money; it should be the cover of her next CD.

I'm not saying I am so much pro-Silverman as I am behind what she says on this particular topic. Of her other material, I haven't a clue and don't really care. It's not always a question of cleverly choosing your targets, just hitting what needs to be hit.
