"wo buxihuan hanguoren", my point was that Swiss Cheese, & Gruyere, are 2 very different cheeses. You seemed to imply in an earlier post that they were synomomous. btw, the turnip story was "Can you help me?"

Quote:
Gruyere is Swiss cheese.

thebomb is astute! I am Australian. wo buxihuan hanguoren obviously doesn't like Americans.

"although I could get camembert & cheddar cheese" has nothing to do with the 2 posted images. If you read the entire post, the words "Both Swiss, but completely different tastes" appear at the end.

Quote:
Isn't Camembert a French cheese, and Cheddar an English cheese?

Correct. They were the only 2 cheeses I could get in Korea. They are NOT the pictured cheeses.

jessiaka: There are no Emart! Homever! HomePlus stores near Paju. There is an emart visible in the far distance at Geomcheon from the train, but I have no idea how to get there by bus. The local #32 bus only goes through Geomcheon cbd.

Hey dogbert, LTNS.

You can buy beets from your local fresh produce market, aka traditional market nowadays.

Neato. I'll have to get meself there sometime. Is it any good?

It is good, actually. Made from beef though, not buck or ostrich. 5000 won for a large bowl. Even my American friend that is mad fussy with food liked it when he had it.

There is actually a South African guy that makes the stuff, and imports boerewors too I think, had his business card but lost it.

I think it his email address was biltongguy AT gmail.com, not too sure.

I don't have any way to braai the stuff in any case, but I think that was it.

As for the cheese comment, sorry about that. I do not hate Americans at all, nor Australians. My "hatred" in general lies towards Kiwis and Canadians.

Still though, not surprised it was an Aussie getting his cheese wrong; when you have cheese that tastes like Bega, and have cheese named 'Coon', then strewth, that right there is a lost cause.
