I have been with the same girl for about a year and a half. On the whole it has been a "growth" experience. I've learned to tolerate a lot and she has improved a little in this time. Still she has this tendency to go absolutely bat s h it crazy every couple weeks, especially if she drinks any amount of alcohol.

Just recently we were having a pleasant bit of makoli and various anju, it was a beautifu day and she was very happy, she said as much. Two hours later she assumes I am oggling some girl that walks by as we are headed home. I told her that I did a double take because this person looked very odd, like an advertisement for the Everlast store but with ambiguous gender. Not oggling, my girlfriend is hot, usually she knows this.

Anyway, back at my place. The yelling, screaming and hitting with various sticks ensues. I sit down with her and calmly explain the situation several times. I told her that I was anxious to be home with her as it had been such a nice and romantic day. I tried to calm her down a while longer to no avail. It was getting late and I still had to iron my shirt for the next day so I started to iron.

Soon there is more stick and hitting and screaming. Then she starts to throw things. Did I mention it is a new apartment and I had spent 8 hours that day unpacking and settling both her stuff and my stuff. I ask her to calm down and she keeps hitting me and screaming. Nuts, nuts, nuts.

She is near the door so I grab her and carry her to the door kicking and screaming. I get her outside the door and pull it closed removing the batteries. Now she is in the hallway screaming absolute bloody murder, it's embarrassing. I tell her to go for a walk and calm down, she says OK but she wants her phone. So I let her in to get her phone and she starts throwing s hit again.

First she grabs her laptop and flings it. WTF? I am freaking out because now she is headed for mine. She gives it a good solid push but luckily the cords stop it from falling off my desk. Then she makes a grab for a kitchen knife, OMG... I grab her again and eject her a bit more forcibly.

Again screaming bloody BLOODY murder. The neighbors are in the hallway now wondering what is up. I tell her again to go for a walk and that I won't let her in until she calms down. More screaming, the neighbors call the cops.

The cops arrive and she is still yelling for her cell phone, I have no idea where it is. The entire place is a shambles from her fit. Eventually we find it simply by calling the phone, easy enough if I hadn't been freaking out trying to understand WTF was wrong with her I could have thought of that.

The cops are trying to sort the situation out. I explain as best I can what happened when I mention the knife it seems like she had said that I pulled the knife on her. The cops seem very sympathetic and keep her away from me while they get my information.

She begins packing up all of her stuff while they are there. The cops decide that this is taking to long and leave me with their phone numbers if she starts to get loopy again. They leave. She continues to pack. She calls some people and makes arrangements.

She starts to get a little nutty again so I call the cops and they basically ignore me. They answer but do nothing to help. The act of calling them seems to mellow her a bit though. She leaves. Her stuff is still there.

The next day she apologizes and says that she will move out. She says she has a place and she is getting paid the next day so...

yeah, that would definitely be it. I'd probably do the same in your place.

Have you considered smacking her around a bit? That is apparently ok here in this country and maybe she's fishing for it as a sign of your true love.

That's not normal, and the worst part of it is, she will probably never change.

I'm sorry to hear about this, and I wonder why you've put up with it for so long. Nobody deserves that kind of treatment. It's not normal, and as you've seen, it escalates. Get her out and keep her out, no matter what it takes.

I'd have kicked her out shortly into the yelling phase.

I have the reverse problem. Anytime I really piss off my girlfriend, she kicks herself out and leaves.

From my past experience, I've learned that anyone who gets extremely jelous during a relationship, they are most likely cheating themselves.

Your girlfriend sounds like a nut...even nuttier than me. But, you MUST be joking. I don't care how hot a girl is, guys will always ogle other hot girls, even if he is right thee with his girl. It's natural and normal. You probably were checking her out. And your girlfriend isn't stupid enough to believe you weren't. Us gals can see when you are looking at other girls. You guys just don't think we notice, but we do.

My wife has had her outbursts too, but nothing near that. Thankfully she's far more stable than this girl.
