I'm at a new school, thankfully, but they don't have a license yet (I'm at their headquarters training). The guy in charge of visa stuff told me that we need to get a release letter from the school I left. I did not renew my contract so I left at the end of the year. What did my former school do when they asked? They promptly went to immigration and told them I don't work there anymore, so now I don't know what to do.
I thought I could get a visa through the headquarters and then transfer over to the new school when they get their license.
Any advice? |

Grab a weekend boat to Japan (or the cheapest flight you can find to anywhere) and back....
You have been released from your old school if they have told immigration that you are not there any more. Hopefully you haven't been away from them for more than 2 weeks or you will be in an overstay position.
When you get back from your weekend jaunt to Japan your tourist stamp will give you time to get things worked out for your new visa. Then you can make your visa run and it is all good. |

The thing is that my visa doesn't expire officially until the 21st. So is the deadline still the 21st even though the c*u*n*t told immigration I finished my contract? |

You terminated your employment and SPONSORSHIP early (fired or quit doesn't matter). Your allowable period of stay in the country is 14 days beyond that.
ie: You have 14 days from the time he indicated was your last day of work before you are in an overstay position and subject to delays, fines and a black mark in your immigration file.
The dates on your visa / ARC are not relevant in this situation.
Get your butt out and back on a tourist stamp OR down to an immigration office to clear up your status before you end up in real trouble.
