Haha or at least that's what some 3rd grade boys thought today.
I was just finishing lunch, and as I was going back up to my classroom, a few 3rd graders were running down the stairs to go home. You know how in the public schools, the kids take wet mops and soak the floors/stairs? Well the stairs were wet, one boy's ankle rolled, and he landed on the landing on the floor, in tears, saying "Ta appoyo" and pointing at his ankle. His friends tried to get him to stand up. Nothing.
Super SeoulShakin to the rescue. I pulled up his pantleg, and pulled down his sock. No immediate swelling or obvious breaks. I asked if he could move (showing with my ankle), and he said no.
So, seeing as how we were almost on the 3rd floor, and the nurse is on the bottom, on the other side of the school, and kid claims he can't walk, I handed my apple slice to his friend. He asked if he could eat it, so I said "sure go ahead". I picked up the kid in my arms, and proceeded to carry him down the 2.5 flights and to the other side of the school. When I scooped him up his friends gave a shocked "Wahhhhhh strong! You are supergirl!". Better than being called fat I guess haha.
I would have been wary doing such a thing in Canada or the US since there are strict rules about touching students. However, I felt alright doing it here, since other kids witnessed it, and he said he couldn't stand up.
So off we went, only to get there and find out the nurse is at lunch. So I got my co-teacher, and she looked after him.
Not bad strength for a chick though! |

Hahaha elementary school. I'm not THAT super.
I'll have to make cookies I'm afraid Mr. Batstove. My bum knee would make me more of a detriment than an asset. Torn with surgery once, and re-tore it last year. It's not up to par. |

I agree with the OP about touching students. There's been a bunch of times where I've pretended to hit/kill students and thought my a$$ would be fired back home. |
