I didn't bother to put this in "current events" because to me it doesn't sound like a real event so much as a shift in perceptions. Koreans are beginning to define sadness and anger the way Westerners do--- as a disease. Should be interesting to see if this school of thought proliferates continues, and what impact said this will have on Confucian cultures of the Asia Pacific.

(And if you think you hear a hint of contempt for modern mental "therapy" in the above statement, you'd be right...)
