silverman's not that funny

I think she only made it this far because she's a jew in an industry run by jews
plus she makes fun of non-jewish minorities so that's a plus in that industry

Glad you said it, not me Wink

I think most would be glad if you tools don't say anything

Alright I caught the Silverman bit. Her only good joke was something along the lines of (to rap star) "I can't believe you're still alive!"

There are just certain kinds of clothes you don't wear when you are flabby, especially when you are going on TV.

Ethnic slur: "chink"?

Hmmmmmm ... and what ethnicity approximately is Ms. Sliverman?

That MTV VMA performace sucked, but that was the exception for Silverman.

Her famous chink joke was genius.

Her ethnicity? East coast jew.

Another somewhat controversial (and Jewish) comedian, Brad Garrett (the tall brother on Everybody Loves Raymond) made a very funny but grossly sexist joke on Jay Leno's show Monday.

Recently divorced - and obviously still feeling the financial sting of the settlement - he indirectly alluded to Intelligent Design by stating that it's no accident that the vagina is shaped so that you can "swipe a credit card through it" ...

He's also been accused by some of making racist remarks in a recent encounter with a black photographer, but - apart from the physical violence of the incident - I think his verbal jabs at least fit his insult comic shtick...

From his Wikipedia bio:

...On August 13th 2007 the comedian violently struck the camera of a TMZ camerman. In the previous month the comedian had an encounter with a black photographer who was taking his picture, saying to him "I didn't know there were black people in Malibu." Several people witnessed the incident. On August 13th when leaving the Nobu restaurant in LA, the same black photographer questioned the comedian regarding his previous statement. As Garrett was walking to his car in the parking lot, the photog told Garrett that there were "more black people here this time," to which the actor replied, "Yeah, I know ... how long you been out?" Furious at the comment, the photog told Garrett,"What do you mean 'out'" How about you?" To which Garrett responded "Not long. I go back and forth." The photographer then told him "You're racist. You should be ashamed on [sic] yourself." At this point Garrett had reached his car and was unlocking and opening the passenger side door for his lady companion. Garrett walked back a few feet to escort his lady friend to the door. Garrett then unleashed his right hand, violently knocking the camera into the TMZ photog's face...

Who the hell is Sarah Silverman?

Just about the funniest woman alive I reckon - hilarious. I usually don't find female comics funny, Margaret Cho being likely the unfuniest woman in the planet, but Sarah is fantastic. Check out Jesus is Magic. I have no ide why she would do something as naff as the MTV awards.

you reckon wrong. Shes unfunny and revolting looking

A simple cultural matter of taste, no? I'm not wrong, I just like different stuff to you. Try not to cry. it's only TV.

You are wrong.

Dude, she makes me laugh, what can i say?

Seems like you need a cuddle.

i used to live in malibu, and the residents were nearly 100% white. the only blacks i saw were angela wilder (james worthy's ex) and halle berry. oh, there was also that one time i saw sugar ray leonard, but i think he lives in brentwood, not malibu. funny how all the blacks i've seen in malibu are celebs.

LOL -- i just remembered SUGE KNIGHT and DEEBO (from the movie "FRIDAY") were also occasionally seen at the UNOCAL 76 gas station on sunset + PCH in malibu -- but i think they live in the palisades. suge knight did cut in line in front of me to get chapstick and i didn't say anything.

Sarah Silverman is a pretty mediocre comedian. The one thing she has going for her is excellent deadpan delivery, but it's impossible for anyone not named Buster Keaton to make an entire career out of that.
