2 months...
And while I am all for Korea I can't wait to get out of here for a couple of months and just chill out on a beach with only 2 people, not 2 000 000 people. Shocked

San Miguel Beer in a cornerstore can be had for about 15 pesos.. which is like 300 won.. Wink oh yeah! Cheapest beer in the world I believe..

Plus you can do everything in English.. read big thick newspapers (many all in English), flip around the TV stations (mixed Tagalog and English stations), read signs (mixed with Tagalog of course).. and most people speak fluent English.. its a trip after being here awhile..

Just four or so left. I am amazed at how quickly the year has seemed to go by.
Strangely enough, I hope my contract is renewed for next year.

Ahh.. Filipina women.. #1 and they taste great with a San Miguel.. and less filling too..

DOH.. I mean they are so lovely..

What I like best about Filipina women is their love for music.. and innate ability to sing.. as well as passion for dancing.. and well the beaches.. and San Miguel.. and a thick English-version newspaper.. with a bungalow.. I am SO there

As of November 1st, I will finish my current contract in 3 months 3 days.
I have been here 4.5 years and plan on staying a long time. For the most part, Korea has been good for me.

Does Korea have its' problems? Yes. Is it for everyone? No. Is it for me? Yes.

I sure wish I could speak more Korean than I can. I always thought once I learned the language, most of the problems would go away, but as I am learning more and more Korean, I see another whole can of worms opening up. I have also realized, I really don't want to know what the Korean person is saying to me all the time.

I can tell the kids in Korean, "to shut up", "sit down", "don't do that", and "walk", so I am happy. Also, I was really happy when I had beans and weinies for dinner. So all in all, not a bad day yesterday.

I think I will stay one more day at any rate.

Regards,

NK.

P.S. It doesn't take much to make me happy. I have too much free time....Sorry for the rambling, but thanks for listening.
