It does look like she's wearing the mini-skirt very low. Look at her hip-bone jutting though the shirt, and then look at the top of the skirt. I would assume that when worn at her hips like a normal skirt, it might look surprisingly short.
However, there's absolutely no grounds for an airline to put a passenger off a flight based on allegedly skimpy clothing. It's ridiculous. Even if they have a policy, that needs to be *advertised* so passengers can be prepared.
Airlines playing morality police in a secular democracy is wrong but suing over hurt feelings? If I don't say it, someone else will -- it's a singularly American response to a singularly American problem.
p.s. Does anyone else feel that the poor girl doesn't really look 23? Does Hooters have a maximum age limit?

Kick her out? Hell no!
If you read the article, there's a hint from the airline about how it transpired...
"Southwest Airlines was responding to a concern about Ms. Ebbert's revealing attire on the flight that day."
So it sounds like someone complained about the attire. I could be wrong. |

Next time I fly Southwest (heaven forbid) I'm gonna complain that the person next to me is offending my delicate sensibilities becuz they're too fat. It's like riding in a cattle car a mile up in the sky. I could use the extra room. |

In the video interview when she sits down again from that standing pose in the photo you can see her panties for just a moment. So there might have been a panty flash on that fateful day.
Yes, ground the aircraft and kick off the terrorists, some hottie flashed her panties. |

Does Hooters have a maximum age limit?
If you look relatively young and happy (still have most of your hair, nice smile, teeth are intact, etc..), it shouldn't be a problem.
Ladies over 40 will generally have difficulty finding jobs in major cities.
They may have to accept a job on the outskirts. |

Was she flying in an airplane or a Victorian England? If it was the latter then I could see why. If it was the former sorry for the confusion. |

Yet another example of how my nation is going down the toilet: a bunch of Puritanical busybodies obsessed with telling others how to live their lives.
As I read the story, I thought the only thing that would make it even better was if the girl sued for emotional distress. Looks like my wish was half-fulfilled:
Quote: |
The Ebberts have engaged an attorney, Martin Reed, to help them decide what to do next.
Asked if he will file suit, Reed told Lauer, Weve not made that decision, yet. Were considering all the facts and all the circumstances.
Initially, I just wanted an apology, Kyla told Lauer. At this point, just some acknowledgement that they were wrong. That would be better. |

I really bet that her white t-shirt was pulled down as far as it is in that photo. |

Except that I think the skirt isn't meant to be worn like a normal skirt - otherwise she wouldn't be able to wear it like it is.
I'd hazard a guess that it's more like a hipster skirt.
