Anyone who took a shot at US troops in Afghanistan who is in Gitmo.

In a military court.

That will put them away for 15- 20 years.

End of problem.

Charge you with attempted (and successful, in most cases, I should add) idiocy is a better option, my friend.

How do they prove who took the shot?

How do we know the military court (minus jury and judge) will give a fair trial to the defendent?

They're apparently already there at the 'pleasure of the US government' until, as you put it, 'the end of the war'.

Hell who needs to try them, by your guilty till proved innocent method.

'Till the end of the war' idea which seems to be against an ideology which isn't as simple as bush would have you think, this will be a lot longer than 15-20 years. Why bother trying them? You seem to have found so many legal loopholes in international law to flagrantly disregard human rights, why start now?

Take off the neo-con shades, Joo, please.

Eye witness reports. That would be the evidence anyway.

Who's eyes? The guy being shot at who's trying to get out of the way and thinking about his family back home. Bullets move pretty fast, that's why they kill people.

I'll highlight the important bit here.

I think now after years of being locked in dark rooms, beaten, humiliated, beaten again, sleep deprivation, then humiliated, followed by forced confessions, then having their hair shaved, followed by another beating, then kept awake for longer, and then humiliated, then beaten again, another forced confession and because it's sunday a humiliating beating.
I doubt these guys can do jacks*it anymore.

This treatment has meant there's plenty more to take their place though. Bravo America!

Of course not. BLT's constant schtick is to insult, insult, insult, and to write quotes and attribute them to people that didn't say them.

No , the US troops did it by accident.

Al Qaeda members are criminals, they are not POWs.

Another case of someone who resents the US wanting to see AQ members go free cause they are against the US

What problem? What could this possibly solve? It won't win the 'war on terror', it certainly won't encourage the freedom-haters to 'give up their war', and I doubt it would make the world a safer place either.

What to do with the Gitmo terror prisoners is a problem.

The more Al Qaeda supporters that are taken out of circulation the better.
