Since different countries have different Thanksgiving type celebrations, what are YOU grateful for in South Korea?

Here's a couple from me:

Friendly Koreans who offer to help in all types of situations

Living rent-free

Having the chance to pay off debts quickly

I lose weight gradually and constantly despite eating and drinking everything in sight. Maybe it's the kimchi. Maybe it's a tapeworm. Either way, I like it.

I'd go with this.

Getting paid a fair whack, spending loads on weekends travelling around, buying stuff, electronics, meeting locals, enjoying the teaching, having fun and still having surplus on the 24th of the month. Never been able to do this anywhere else.

A place to live and a place to work, and a decent salary to go along with it. The freedom to mostly do what I please, when I wish to do it. Public transportation that allows me to live without a car. And I am currently thankful for pleasant autumn weather.

I'm thankful for:

-the summer heat finally abating

-receiving a nice hourly wage to sit and talk with interesting and educated people (even though I have to travel to them to do it)

-my persian cats recently produced 6 perfect kittens, and they sold like hotcakes

-I haven't had any major injuries this year

The list goes on, and although only the first 2 examples might be attributable to Korea, I am still thankful.

Good thread idea.
