Ugh, the self-righteousness in this post is unendurable.
Particularly given the source. |

| I think twiggy is trying to be ironic. Nobody, absolutely nobody contributes less substance and more insults than he. Though, if I were him, I'd prolly be like that too. |

Show hypocrisy much? Jeeezus... You can't make a post without insulting someone. It's easy for you, I guess, to just label everyone that disagrees with you a "neo-con" or a "right-winger," untrue and baseless as it is.
Don't get me wrong, we all appreciate what you add to the discussions. Wait... You don't add anything to the discussions! You just pop in and throw a "You're a neo-con!" or "George Bush is evil!" and try to appear funny or witty.
You fail, by the way. |
Wow, pikanese, you've managed to do what you always do with a thread with this perfect example.
Add nothing new! and you're ribbing him for adding nothing. The sweet irony of it. |

Ahh... DV strikes again! Cut me to the bone! I especially like the way you changed my name into another name! That was original! You've been on this board for what, a whole six months? Wow! You sure are experienced.
I was embarrassing coonts like you while you were still spankin' it to Chomsky and burning American flags! |

I recall seeing your kind in the Shawshank Redemption, think they were called 'the sisters' and in the Butterfly effect they were called 'the brothers'.
It's sad really that like them, you act like a 'sadistic inmate' here. Get out Pikanese, meet people, enjoy life, maybe get a girlfriend. Take that razor sharp wit and sarcasm and be the power house you so want to be. |

Hi five, America! |
Zing! Really, though.
What does it feel like to writhe in hatred of the most powerful and most envied country in the world?
I'd imagine it would be difficult to hate something so bad and realize that most of the people that live there love it. I'd imagine that at one point you probably found yourself among friends of yours discussing the United States, and yo probably told yourselves, "Hey, I'm glad I'm not an American. It must suck."
Then you met a bunch of Americans. they didn't seem upset at all that they were American. They were actually proud to be from the United States. It probably burned you up inside.
You realized that, "Hey, my country used to be the best in the world, but now it's nothing more than a whipping boy to the powerhouse across the Atlantic." Then, you started to feel inadequate.
So, you began to try to make up for your inadequacies. Only, you realized after a few futile attempts that there was nothing you could do to make yourself feel as proud about being English as most Americans did about being American. It probably hurt a little when that epiphany came to you. I won't pretend to know what it felt like, but I'll only say that I imagine it felt that way.
You decided that you would try to bring the U.S. down to your level. Only, you soon realized that that, too, was an impossible task. you began to realize that your country was exactly like the United States and everything you hated, so you ran out the door, bought a plane ticket to Korea, and thought that everything would be fine. Still, you found yourself lacking. So, you joined a board and began the whole process all over again.
But don't worry, Dome Vans. There's hope. See, I'd be willing to bet that there is someone in the U.S. that would hire a bright, intelligent boy such as yourself. You can come to our fine country and live the "American Dream." Now, I know that you'd much rather live the "British Dream," but since there isn't one, the "American Dream" will do just fine. You're probably, what, 23-24? That gives you plenty of time.
Now, I realize that I'm just guessing about all of this, but I'm usually a pretty good judge of character, especially regarding Brits. Just ask my friends Demi and Meegook. They felt a lot like you did, and they're gone now.
So, as you're about to write your .org programmed anti-American response to this or any other post, remember that even tools like you can be a part of the greatest nation in the world: the U.S. of A. |

Yeah, that is right: sneering. You typically stand on the sidelines and come in from time to time to sneer at those of us who stand somewhere else besides the far left. Little, petty, snide remarks like the "alcoholics-anonymous" one that presently comes to mind.
Personal attack against you, the holy one, the one who never attacks other posters personally? Are you kidding me? Have you paid attention to your posting behavior here, Twig?
And, by the way, your "unwillingness-to-question-their-own-views" accusation applies at least as accurately to you as it does to anyone else here. |

Wow pikanese, you know what, Ill have to say Im impressed by this thoroughly compelling missive that you spent time making up. So it would be rude not to reply in said fashion.

Hatred doesnt really enter the game here. Objective analysis of a failing system and ideology is a more apt way for describing it. I think if you try hard enough youll be able to think of many more countries that are the envy of the world, America isnt gonna come close.

If anything the idea that there is a bunch of Americans who are proud of their country is kinda comforting that these people can display a kind of blind loyalty to a corrupt system and show how the system can ensnare and mislead its citizens. There are many countries in the world who have more reserved pride of their nation. And they actually practice democracy. They dont feel the need to shove it down peoples throats.

You seem to have fallen into the same dikk waving contest that is part of the problem here for America. Everyday life regardless of which country you come from will have its masculine fueled problems. The idea of feeling inadequate is the reason that many men, yourself included, find it difficult to concede that you maybe are wrong or what you believe in is wrong. If you see every challenge in life as a chance to get one over on somebody else, you will struggle for your your whole life, because there is always somebody better than you. So why bother? If you want to spend your life trying to prove youre top dog youre gonna turn round one day and realise youve wasted your time.

Ill give you this, I am not proud of England but not through any inadequacy, especially the direction it is going at the moment. But have no problem with people being proud of their country. If you really want to see the positive nature of people being proud of the country then pop over to Sweden. They dont need to bellow about how great and wonderful their country is. They have no illusion of the 'freedom.' They have a reserved pride that is humble and very good natured. This society is a good gauge of how a democracy should be set up. You can learn from it.

Id consider my level to be fairly high, thanks anyway. As to the fact that maybe I ran out the door, is another badly misplaced judgement again. Life experience is a great thing, do it, enjoy it. Hell you never know you might like a place so much that you settle down there, I think this is called happiness. Not running a burying your head in the sand. Easy distinction here. As to why I joined the board, its a good laugh, dont take it too seriously, find out some info, have an argument, meet people through it, then at the end of the day not losing a second of sleep is the best way to take it. Listen to peoples POV, Im probably the first to say that I probably come across as being as stubborn as the majority of the people here. But I can see that, dont take yourself too seriously itll just make you unhappy.

Lovely and condescending here. Im sure everywhere would want to hire a bright intelligent man like me. Youd be amazed at how many countries Ive worked in and loved working in all of them. So the idea that I may be 23-24, shows that unfortunately that your whole sociological breakdown is incorrect. Looking at your value judgements, if I were you, Id get back to the drawing board before trying playing the social hierarchy card. Supposed superiority is a good trait of the internet, if you cant gain respect in reality then its the next best place, but a bit chicken s*it.

Obviously youre not a good judge of character as outlined above and Im sure if we ever meet Im sure we have a very good laugh. Cyber identities give people personas that they would not openly display in public. You wouldnt last five seconds if you acted as you write. Or maybe you dont have many friends because you do act his way?? A smarmy, self satisfied being.

HaHa, Greatest is an illusion that has been implanted in your brain. Ill drop you a mail in about 10 years when America is kissing the boots of China. Hegemonic status goes in cycles, Americas is ending, much the same as Englands did. You cant deny it, its just when it will happen! Feel free to flame me for this, but I felt that your mail, not matter how smarmy and condescending it was, warranted a reply. Have fun, Pikanese. |

Truth huts, Kuros. The C/N-C's on this board are exactly like those in Washington: They ignore the truth with malice aforethought. They create their own "truth" with malice aforethought. They go personal at every opportunity. Straw men and ad hominem arguments are th norm.
It is why I am so active on this board. It is a small thing, but I refuse to let the garbage build up without cleaning it out regularly.
I have posted before, and will post again, examples of threads in which the C/N-C's like yourself (Yes, I know, you aren't one. You swear it.) not only initiate their participation in threads with personal attacks, straw men and ad hominems, but never add ANY substance to some threads. Tell us, why does this occur over and over and over? |
