The worst thing for me is having to do a class after lunch. This is the case on Mondays and Tuesdays. I cant seem to get my energy up for these classes.

Are you sleeping with the fan on? Sleeping with the fan on creates a vortex around you face which sucks out all of your energy and WILL cause death!

I hear you, my friend.
I like hanging out with the other Korean teachers. That's the only reason I show up at lunchtime. I can barely stomach the putrid smell. I'll start fasting until dinnertime too...

LOLOLOL I remember my mom trying to convince me of that. I think it's hysterical that a lot of Koreans really think that Laughing

I eat a little bit at each break - whether I'm hungry or not. And no actual meal. I makebuy food that you can divide up like that such as tuna salad, sandwiches, kimbabp etc... Plus some fruit. So no big meal = no food coma.

You are suffering from reactive hypoglycemia. Voyeur's advice is good. Eat small amounts more frequently and avoid refined carbohydrates (white sugar and flour and their products).

See a doctor.

Check out http://www.fred.net/slowup/hypotret.html.

Hope this helps.

Shocked

Looks like she already has ... Dr. Casper? Nothing personal, but I wouldn't accept a diagnosis from anyone on Dave's ESL Cafe. I second the fruit advice.

Dr's and Nurses has always been one of my favourite games..

I guess it's because you're eating too much. When you eat your body has to divert a lot of energy to digestion,... So, just eat less.

Story of my life! I have no self control when it comes to food, thus I always find myself in a food coma after lunch. And everyone always wonders why I go to the gym like a maniac... on that note - are there many good gyms in Korea?? Considering I hear the food is spectacular and cheap, I'll probably be such a glutton over there...

I wasn't so dissimilar, but I think my reasons were more psychological than anything else. Didn't usually have to teach kids after lunchtime, so it was always a drain to do so.

Just order decent food to be delivered. 3000W per day is a small price to pay for a good lunch.
