Had a little night with the Korean co-teachers last night. Great time, did the whole, dinner, hof, noraebang. However this morning I feel as if I was punished by the GB Packers defensive line, and then had any remaining life left in me sucked out in some kind of demonic soju exorcism.
Man I've been hung over before, but this soju thing kills me.
How do you feel? |

If you drink soju at night, mix a glass of half orange juice, half water and add a pinch of salt (Or, drink a Gatorade). Use that to chase two aspirin and you'll feel like a million bucks in the A.M. |

There is no cure for a hangover. If there was we would all be using it.
Something that helps is a long shower, couple of painkillers, water, and deciding in your mind that you don't actually have a hangover. Self-hypnosis. |

Great tips...... What is it with soju? Is is fermented by the devil or something? Even though it is cheap, you pay for it the next day. |

I was told Soju is one element off from being paint thinner. The stuff is gross. It is also the answer to why Korean men in their 60's have stomach cancer.
When I drink it, which is rare, I take two shots of water with every single shot of soj. You want to feel better, puke it up. Its a poison in your gut.
Good luck

Even Paint thinner couldn't do this much damage haha. I know a lot of the hangover tricks. I usually pound back a pitcher of water before bed, and if I'm drinking anything normal it works wonders. However I can't seem to defeat soju. The few times that I have binged on it here all end with the same result, no matter what I try.
I'm not complaining about it. Just thought it would be funny to post a thread about soju and soju hangover stories. |

Just kill another soju on your walk to work. It'll stave off the hangover for until later. |

A proper fry-up breakfast and lots of coffee usually does the trick for me. |

Can't believe I'm quoting myself for an edit, but it's an important one.
Do the above before you go to sleep!

Tip for newbies to the soju experience:
Only drink 처음처럼 or Hallasan soju... you'll be right as rain the next day (although a big glass of water and one 게보린 -- ridiculously romanised to "Geworin" -- a Korean aspirin, before bed just in case). "Geworin" is the best aspirin available... will fix you right up. Stay away from other brands of soju. Trust me on this I have years of experience with alcoholic in-laws. |
