I bought this about 4 months ago, has served me well, I am just looking to upgrade:

Bought in Canada
Compaq V6000
15.4 inch screen
AMD semperon 3500+
1.5 GB DDR2 667 RAM
120 GB HD
Lightscribe DVD burner
Built in card reader (SD/MMC/Memory Stick/XD)
3 USB 2.0, expansion port, PCMCIA, S-Video, VGA as well as headphone and mic in. Built in mic as well.
Windows Vista Home Premium

It's in great shape because I have hooked a keyboard and mouse up to it for the last couple of months, so the trackpad and keyboard have only seen a couple of month's use. Also, I always had it on a cooling mat which had fans blowing air underneath, so the laptop fan has rarely had to come on. It is in great shape cosmetically.

looking for around 600k.

I see it is a 1.8Ghz computer; not even a dual core or core 2 duo.

Check this out:

hmm...not too bad OP. That's a decent 'asking' price.

Actually not a bad looking rig...better than the older model Compaq style by far. Specs don't look bad either but, I'm a Pentium man....and as CL said, it's not dual. The OP seems flexible on the price and that's not a bad thing, though! Very Happy

yeah flexible on the price for sure. We all know that throwing out a rock bottom price gets you somewhere between that same bottom rock and the center of the earth lol.. so if someone wants to pitch a decent price, not the 450k that I have got so far, then cool! come one, come all.

For computers it's a buyers market, as I'm sure you know.

If it's like mine was you have to make your recovery disks within a certain period of buying it (you get one crack at making back-ups). They now sell the discs because A LOT of people complained about that, and threatened to buy other brands.

My recovery discs fit onto 3 DVDs.

Recovery DVD is definitely included. It fit onto 1 dual layer DVD. And yeah, semprons aren't for gaming, but I am not selling a gaming machine. Regardless of the lack of cache, it does pretty much anything you need it to do. With the 1.5 gb of ram, there is plenty of power for most end-users. At the end of the day, AMD is a solid company that provides affordable chips. I can toss 2007 office on there if you aren't worried about having an illegitimate copy, but I would rather not. I could take 540 for it and not be too upset about it lol
cheers.
