|
|
I will soon be marrying another foreigner (who will not be eligible for an E2 visa). Will my spouse automatically be granted a visa so that he can be with me?
I am midway through a contract and don't wont to leave quite yet, and he will probably have to leave the country within four weeks. He is not from one of the favoured/high status nations. Will the fact that we are married mean that he can return? We are quite worried about this.
Does anyone know anything this/know where I can get more information?
I don't trust talking to immigration direct - they have been unfriendly in the past AND it seems they sometimes give conflicting answers/information. |

Hello Interested,
You'll find the following links rather useful, especially the first and third ones.
Can my wife/husband get a visa too?
1. Bringing my Wife With me
2. Does my Wife Have to go on a Visa Run?
3. Visa for Non-Teaching American Spouse
You need an F3 (Dependent Families) visa for your husband. He won't automatically be granted one once you're married, you will have to apply. There's good information there, especially the first thread "Brinign my Wife With me"... one guy whose wife is Filipina posted a lot of detailed information. I don't know how long it will take.
Go to the Korean Immigration Website FAQs and scroll down a bit and click on the F3 visa and you'll see all the info you need.

The only consistent thing about Immigration is their lack of consistency |
