Disappointing, calling it inconclusive would be very generous also.
The information we hear coming through Cameron and his mother could very well be selective. We don't know this as there are rarely independent observers in these child cases. This would be one of the first things I'd look out for. Is the mother(who recounts most of Cameron's past life story) simply being selective and unaware of her own influence on Cameron.
In the final trip to the island Cameron seems to not recognise much other than an odd house(a neighbour he knows but can't remember), the beach and planes landing on it. He fails to recognise the house he supposedly lived in, we are shown him over come with emotion(looks like a 4 year old tied of been dragged round a rainy island to me).
The largest hole in his story is the name Shane Robertson the name he gives as his father on the island who apparently died in a car crash.
When they track down a surviving Robertson from the island(lived in, and the reason for visiting, the little white house) she denies any Shane members in her family(yes to James or Shamus, sorry this isn't Sylvia Brown) no car deaths or young child deaths.
Overall unconvincing and unable to prove itself beyond coincidence or self deception. I would then also add I don't think it's con like the ones coming out of India. Cameron's failing are then dismissed as possible other past lives interfering with his memories. Well that's far from helpful now as if failings can be explained away this whole thing becomes unfalsifiable. |

Lord knows I'm no math whiz, but it seems to me that with 6 billion + people on the planet now, someone needs to explain when all these souls lived before? The math seems pretty fishy to me. |

Well maybe most of us come back as fish, like those salty little ones you get as side dishes here. |

So would my life be if it was filmed on a Scottish island with creepy music and sleek editing.
Still disappointing, I thought it was going somewhere, but it didn't. |

What of that 2nd boy?
The one who was apparently once his own grandfather?
He recognized his first old car.
Said he once did the same changing his father's diapers when he was a little baby ( the kid was 1.5 years old at the time )
Also knew how his father's sister had been killed ... etc etc ... |

I want to know why no one has a boring past life that didnt face some historic persecution. People always claim to have exotic past lives as queens, kings, witches, Indians, pilots, people on the titanic, etc; no one ever says, I had a past life as a mechanic in Brooklyn. Nothing exciting. |

You can't be serious that's proof?
If he came out with the license plate number and name of the girl he first had in the back of it then I'd be impressed. The 2nd kid had way too much access to information about his grandfather and the best thing he came up with was recognising (so we are told) his first car. Can you not see that just maybe the parents are feeding him information (unintentionally) then cherry picking his hits and misses? |

To be fair these two kids had pretty mundane past lives. Past life regression often results in very fanciful tales.
There's a UK show called 'Have I been here before?' which uses hypnotism on minor celebrity guests to find out their past lives. I almost broke my TV throwing my shoes at the screen. These people were so convinced by minor details which they wedged in to any vague research done down at the local registrar. . Dismissing errors and going 'whoah' when they guessed the correct colour make-up of a 19th century clown(it's white and red by the way).
The presenter always gives the viewer the option 'Maybe you believe in reincarnation or you're unsure'
'No Scofield! I'm sure this is bulls hit' |

I'll be impressed by past lives evidence if a 5 year old American boy born to whitey parents starts speaking fluent Mandrin. It's a bit like those psychics who can talk to Aztec warriors but can't seem to speak in their language although they affect a crazy accent.
People will believe any crap. |

Sure, maybe.
Or, maybe he really was his grandfather! |
