Ok, so another thread got me to think of things that were stolen from me and the first thing that pops into my head were my shoes.
A stream of thoughts about those shoes......and then, wait, my BRANDish new motorcycle (7 km <straight from the shop to my flat>) was ripped overnight. Yeah, you got it...bought it brand new, drove it straight home (as gov't offices were closed on Sunday...and being the noob didn't wanna break too many laws) to be registered the next. I was awoken by knocks on my door by my buddy telling my bike was gone...thought it a prank, then reality set in.
!@$%!#%^&@%^!
Back to those shoes...after all, I thought of them first! It was 1997 (winter) and went to TKD and left my (maybe only worn 1 week) TKD shoes in those little cubicles. Finish my lesson (last to leave) and no shoes. After about five 360 degree turns I give up on magically finding them.
I s'pose I recall it first cause:
A-WHO STEALS USED SHOES?!?!?!?!?
B-I walked home 20 minutes uphill in the snow <(and ice) to top my Pa> barefoot.
Bastardos.
And you?
!shoosh,

Been drinking again, have you? Go make a useful post somewhere. It'll make a nice change from your usual trolling. |

Had mine stolen from a Thai Internet cafe. Had to walk 20 minutes down the gravel road to buy new ones.
That sucks about yer bike, though.
Only thing I can remember being stolen (in Korea) is a whole slew of umbrellas, including the last one which was a UNIQUE colour and design and on the inside was written "If your name isn't FRANK, then this isn't your F***ing umbrella!".

I sympathize with you, Ryst. I had a pair of shoes and a scooter stolen when I lived in Koong-Dong (Daejon). It sucks. They were stolen from in front of my apt, so at least I didn't have to walk anywhere in the snow.
The only other thing I remember having had stolen was a letter I'd written (about how upset I was at admin shenanigans at school). It was taken off my desk by a 'manager' and given to the boss it was written about. He was not pleased. |

I know someone who had his virginity stolen at Suwon station. He was 45 years old, Canadian, overweight, and wore his pants pulled up to his *beep*. |
