Hi there

I am off to Thailand 23-30 sept
My advice is. I want to see some nice beaches and some night life. Chill and have a smoke. I do know it is rainy season yet was thinking of going to krabi anyway. Any ideas where i can stay, have a smoke, near to a nice beach and some night life, as i am alone.
Thank you
Darren

The nightlife capital of Thailand is Pattaya as long as you're not a prude. It doesn't have much of a beach but you probably won't get up early enough to enjoy the beach. It's the ideal place for single men. You can take a nice Thai girl to one of the nearby islands for the day if you really want a beach. If you want a nice balance between beach and nightlife then go to Patong in Phuket or Chaweng in Sumui. Don't be naive when it comes to the girls. Wink

I've never been to Krabi but I think it's mostly for honeymooners and looks really boring.

You can have a smoke anywhere...pick up some at duty free I suggest "Dunhill Top Leaf international pack" very satisfying. BTW, I need a Thai-English character computer keyboard, can you pick one up for me? I'll pay you when you get back, where do you live?

The platform at Chaing Mai station is a no-smoking area.

Can't smoke in restaurant now either.

If you want to smoke why don't you just got to Jejueo and lie on the beach there? Closer and cheaper than Thailand.

If you are alone you could always pay somebody to be your friend.

Or try www.Thailandfriends.com never know there might be a lady on there who is interested in spending a couple of days with you.
