This is encouraging. Maybe in the future we'll start killing and eating homeless people as a urban makeover solution. |

The basic premise of " A Modest Proposal" is that something must be done about the poor children ( written in seventeenth century England) It's social commentary at it's most biting. (pun intended) |

Someone ought to eat all those poor b**tards that I see locked up in cages all day, or chained up down the side of buildings. First time I've ever seen a dog in what equates to little more than an oversized hamster cage. Frickin' moronic Koreans |

Emma, dear, calm down...
As for the pooches here in Korea well they are treated differently then back home thats for sure..!
The whole "pet" culture here is different and this unfortunately sometimes leads to bad treatement of animals. Not cool.
However, to call Koreans "moronic" because of the way SOME of them treat dogs is well...moronic itself... |

Alright - here's a bit of dog-eating humour from one of my students (40-ish business man). We were doing an exercise with the conditional, like, "If I had a ____________, I would___________"
So one of the thoughts to complete in the exercise was, "If I had a big dog,.......", with the idea that students would complete it with, "....I would have to walk him a lot." or whatever. So we were going around the room, and it gets to Mr. Seo, and he says, "If I had a big dog, I would be hungry all the time."
It took about five seconds for the class to process that, and then we all fell down laughing. True story.

A picture of a dog on a BBQ when talking about hot dogs always gets a laugh out of the kids... |

Emma, those dogs are in those cages because they ARE about to be eaten. Anyone ever seen a korean dog in a cage that wasn't destined for the pot? |

When Lewis & Clark made their expedition, they frequently ate dog, and Clark even wrote how some of the Frenchmen preferred the taste of dog to chicken.
And there are photos of people walking around at some fair or something selling dog meat on a stick.
so you see boys and girls, you can look down on the lowly asians all you want, but its all cyclical |

How can they eat something that looks so cute...
like pinchy the lobster. I still haven't forgiven homer...what a JERK! |
