After 3 years, and much abuse, my prehistoric little 512mb mp3 player has given up the ghost. Can anyone here recommend a suitable replacement?
- I only want a few gigs worth of space, 60 seems too big.
- I am not an apple fanboy.
- I don't want to watch TV on it.
- I DO want to be able to use it at the gym (possibly on an armband, instead of around the neck).
- Durable, compact and easy to use are watchwords.

Thanks in advance.

If you are close to Seoul, go browse around the iRiver store.....They have a few different kinds of little players.

I've had one for almost 4 years and would definitely recommend them.

Take a walk through the nanjin arcade at Yongsan (across the rail yard from Yongsan station).

I got a 4 gig stormblue mp3 player for 60k won. Simple, small, English menus and manual. It works for me and I am happy with it. Weighs about 40 grams and small enough to put in an armband or use the neck strap.

I was given a 2 Gig Samsung, with armband, and it is pretty nifty.
Touch screen with good battery life. I think it was about 140k.

I think the above poster may have the same player that I got a couple of days ago. Mine's is a Samsung YP K3. It has 2gigs and a battery life of 26 hours. The touchscreen is cool but it obviously smudges the surface easily. Looks pretty nice tho.

My gf got it as a Chuseok present from her company but I saw it on Danawa for 110,000.
