Folks,

This posting belongs on the Travel Forum thread but I wanted to post here for maximum visibility.

Ms. Kang, Mi Jeong was an employee of this travel agency and has scammed dozens since her abrupt disappearance last week. If you've booked reservations with this agent I'd call the agency asap as your reservation has not been ticketed.

Alps is a preferred travel agent on Dave's but should be deleted immediately.

Good luck & safe travels

Wow, a fraudulent travel agent. What a shocker.

But seriously folks - if at all possible make your bookings online / directly with the carrier - you'll save yourself a lot of grief. I got stranded in Jeju with a pregnant wife because I trusted the word of one of those lying, incompetent morons.... never again.

Ah, the old travel agency thing. Seems to be a common scam here.

Best stick with the reliable old ones that have been there for years.

I've had some bad luck with travel agents here.

I know of one that would sell a ticket out from under you if they got a higher price.

Actually, that happened!

I arrived in Incheon for my flight to Thailand (real ticket in-hand... always insist on that, unless I'm booking direct with the airline) and when I arrived, they informed me that my ticket had been canceled that morning. Luckily, Thai airways got me on. They were quite sympathetic, because it was quite obvious that I had not canceled the ticket.

Go with Xanadu travel out of itaewon. I have received e tickets from them a couple of times with no worries at all. You can direct credit there bank account as well so no need for credit card payments or having to go in to see them.
